[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]What got you into DJing?
I started out DJing when I was 15, my close friend used to run underage shows at my local town hall, after the show I would sneak on stage and mess around with the turntables. I instantly fell in love and bought my first set of decks and the rest is history.
You’ve been playing at Candy’s for a while; do you remember your first set?
Shit, um… I think it was Boxing Day 2011. I had been playing at Candys sister club, Whaat Club for half a year and finally convinced the booker to give me a shot. I was playing with a DJ crew called Nuff Said and I think we opened the club for the first few hours. I was shitting it!
What’s your favourite memory from a gig?
Probably a tie between playing Main Stage at Goodlife Festival 2016 in front of 8000 people or warming up before Carnage at Academy in Canberra a few years back before he went all “louder”, haha!
What’s your dream accomplishment that you’ll be able to say to yourself ‘I can die happy’?
My dream accomplishment would have to be throwing a show with Porter Robinson as the secret headliner after Stereo in 2015 at the Civic Underground. Watching him play to a packed room of people literally hanging off the ceiling. He absolutely cut sick behind the decks, putting together a set that I’ve never seen topped to this day. Then having to play after him and being more nervous than ever before. It was all time!
What do you do to give back to the dance music community and the wider community in general?
I always try and help up and coming artists to foster the next generation of djs/producers by lending my insight into all aspects of the nightlife industry. I’m always here for advice and help for anyone that’s looking to get into music or wants a start in the clubbing scene. I’ve been a big supported of Keep Sydney Open, partying safe, and looking after your mates![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
