What got you into DJing?
(B) Music has always been a massive part of both our lives, I studied Music and played guitar for years so it was a natural progression into DJing. (Z) Yeah, I was a promoter and naturally through the connection I had I made the transition & never looked back.
You’ve been playing at Candy’s for a while; do you remember your first set?
(Z) I remember my first set, we we’re both Candy’s Rats well before we started DJing, bout 30 mates that come to support, was so sick & really drove me to carry on with the dream. (B) When I got my opportunity to play a backroom set I was so stoked. I still feel the same exhilaration now as I did in my first set.
What’s your favourite memory from a gig?
(Z) When we played an event in Sydney with a bunch of friends, an event after the Neon Run, about 7000 people jamming out.
What’s your dream accomplishment that you’ll be able to say to yourself ‘I can die happy’?
(B) Getting to travel the world and play music. When people say “I loved that song” or “It was awesome when you guys did that”, knowing that people enjoy what we do makes it all worthwhile.
What do you do to give back to the dance music community and the wider community in general?
(Z) We have played many charity events obviously free of charge, constantly giving advice to those in need & just trying to maintain a good vibe. (Braydon) I love giving back to the community, I regularly checkout DJ’s just starting up. I’m always happy to chat to anyone who gives me the time of day, whether it is for advice or just talking nonsense.
